A. BACKGROUND

Driven by the example of parents who cared about the lives of others, especially in terms of education, as well as the desire to transmit the same exemplary life for children and later generations, Herman Walker Wenas in 2003 started his personal preparation to walk around the world while raising funds for the education for younger generations.

At the end of the year of 2006 the support team of "Taking Step For Indonesian Generation" Foundation was formed, after previously from 2004 to 2006 conducted walk training in several places in Indonesia and abroad, namely: Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea and United States.

In year 2007, with the support team of Taking Step For Generation (MB-Gen), Herman Walker Wenas started walking around the world, project that was named: "Friendship Walk Around the World for Future Generations" with a 1000 km route starts from the first Battalion of Infantry 201/JY, Cimanggis, then via Serang, Tangerang, Bogor, Bandung, Tarlac, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Semarang, continuing in South Korea, through the town of Busan, Daegu, Gumi, Daejeon, Seoul; then in the United States through the city of Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and in July-August 2009 in Indonesia through the city of Denpasar, Surabaya, Semarang.

Determined to build friendships through culture without prejudice of Tribe, Religion, Racial, Inter-class, Politics and the belief that "'Impossible' DOES NOT exist in our dictionary" and passion to build a future generation that care for others and the environment, the MB-Gen team (MB-Gen crew, or MB-Gen'ers) has conducted several activities as implementation of the vision and mission of the MB-Gen , namely: Leadership Training, Character & Nationhood Training, Free Health & Medical Care and 10km Friendship walk, etc. from the year 2007 - until present.

B. ABOUT TAKING STEP FOR GENERATION (MB-Gen):

VISION

"Creating younger generations that care toward others and the environment"

MISSION

1. Provide free training to the young generations of Indonesia in the field as follows:

1. Leadership, Character & Nationhood.
2. Entrepreneurship.
3. Sports, Health & Nutrition.
4. Environmental Conservation.

2. Establish the "Life Skills Education Center" as the facility to conduct training by MB-Gen.

CULTURE

1. "Absolutely NO to prejudice toward Tribe, Religion, Racial, Inter-class, and Politics. As a commitment to embrace all the younger generation, MB-Gen to build a culture of togetherness by friendship with an emphasis on providing its vision free from ethnic, religious, ethnicity, inter-class, and political interest.
2. "'Impossible' DOES NOT exist in our dictionary". As part of efforts to build positive thoughts and habits and beliefs that something WILL be done either in togetherness, this culture became one of the main habits adopted in the MB-Gen.

C. ACTIVITIES:

C. 1. Friendship Walking Around the World for Future Generations (Friendship Walk Around the World for Future Generation, International Activities)

This package of activities carried out by walking around the world by Herman Walker Wenas who will be accompanied by team (consisting of 3 persons) with a motor vehicle to help documentation and assisting. This event consists of series of activities conducted in international level which consists of:

1. Friendship Walking Around the World by Herman Walker Wenas.
2. 10 Km Friendship Walk For Generation.
3. Indonesian Night
4. Book for tree

The purpose of activities:

1. Promoting Indonesia.This will be done by distributing information about Indonesia along the travelled route, as well as places where MB-Gen activities are held abroad. In addition, promotion also done by activities in "Indonesian Night", Indonesian culture and arts festival, and Indonesia promotion video playback.
2. To break Guinness World of Record Fastest Circumnavigation of Records category on Foot.
3. Establish the values of friendship and brotherhood. This will be done by donating "Little Forest of Indonesia" as a symbol of friendship from Indonesian People to the states or the people in the travelled route, as well as places where MB-Gen activities are held abroad.
4. Collecting funds for the training of young generation of Indonesia.

C.2. Friendship Matters (Friendship is valuable, Domestic Activities)

Package of activities which consist of several activities held (at least) in two consecutive days in different region of Indonesia, which consist of:

1. Friendship Walk For Generation (MB-Gen).
2. Character Training, Leadership & Nationhood
3. Entrepreneurship Training.
4. Sports, Health & Nutrition.
5. Training of Environmental Conservation.
6. Cultural Festival (Performing Arts)
7. Book for Tree
